How to Make French Crepes, Preparation

Step 1: Put the ingredients in a mixing pan and blend till the mixture is even and you can’t identify any single ingredient. If the mixture is too light or too liquid, don’t worry, we are making crepes!

Step 2: Using a non-stick cooking spray, spray the frying pan and then heat it on medium to high heat intensity. This will prevent the sticking of crepes on the pan while cooking. So this step is very important and should not be ignored. Alternatively, you can also use real butter as a non-stick spray instead of cooking spray as it will the extra advantage of making the crepe moist and more delicious.

Step 3: Using a big serving spoon, pour the crepes batter into the frying pan. For best results, aim for a round shape and about an eighth of an inch in thickness. If the shape does not look like what you had aimed for, you can always add the batter to fill the gaps and bring about the desired shape.

Step 4: Stare at the crepe. Don’t try to do anything else like picking the phone or checking out what’s happening outside, if you do this, your crepe might burn. So keep an eye on it as it cooks.

Step 5: If you did what I told you in step 4, you will realize that at some point, the edges of your sweet crepe to be will start turning brown. When you see this, it is time to flip the crepe so that it can cook on both sides. You can use a knife or a spatula to do this, just put it below the crepe on the pan and take it to the centre and just flip.

Step 6: If you didn’t make a perfect flip, straighten your crepe. (Don’t worry, the first crepe is always stubborn to make but the second one always turns out perfect).

Step 7: When the other side is cooked, your French crepe is ready. Remove it carefully from the pan to the tray to prevent it from getting broken. Your first crepe is on site!

Step 8: Repeat this easy process until all the batter is turned to crepes.
